The Market Basket
Another big thing here in the South of France is the basket. Many people take their market baskets and fill them with fresh produce, baked goods and other market finds.
This basket was made for my French teacher, just to say "Merci Beaucoup" for all her hard work.

A Rainbow of Bon Bon Bags
A sign of a really good party is the goody bags given at the end. As a child, I used to love digging into those paper/plastic bags searching for all those little treasures. I must admit I still love recieving little goody surprises.
Why are there no goody bags for adults?
Well, now there is! I decided to make my own version of the goody bag filled with lots of little crafty treasures that can be used for many crafty projects. So fun digging through these little bags and seeing what treasures await...
just a preview:

Mon Petit Sac - Pommes
Yes...
I have been busy. Not doing all the things I should be doing like studying French, cleaning the house, doing laundry and all the other boring stuff.
I blame it on my sewing machine. It keeeps calling... so here it is; Mon Petit Sac - Pommes to add to the etsy inventory.
I really believe I have an addiction to linen. I just love working with it and then adding little yummy bits of fun fabrics here and there. Soon, I will need to replenish my stash...its called a fabric addiction... I think?

Back into Bags
I took a little break from sewing bags but now I am back on the bag wagon again (tee hee hee).
Here in France, people carry around their own shopping bags or baskets when they go to the market, so I figured I would create a couple of market bags, help save the trees and the landfills...perhaps the trend will soon follow in North America and everyone will be carrying a Le Marche bag?

Couture
THE BEFORE
This is an old sewing basket I purchased at a brocante sale in Tourette Sur Loup. It was in really bad shape but I wanted something for all of my small sewing goodies...a little home for them. So with the trusty old glue gun and some left over fabric and trim, I made myself a new little sewing box to hold all my sewing treasures.
